See step by step how the module works in your shop.

1

Write posts with everything you need

In the edit screen you create a complete blog post, per language. You fill in the title, the introduction and the content. For the content you use the familiar editor with headings, lists, links, tables and images.

  1. Friendly URL: leave it empty and the module creates it automatically from the title
  2. Category, tags and image: this is how you organize the post and give it a strong look
  3. Linked products: search by name or reference, and the products appear below the post
  4. Publication date: choose a date in the future and the post goes live automatically
  5. Meta title and meta description: decide for yourself how your post appears in Google

With the Preview button you can view the post in your shop before it goes live.

2

Organize categories and add them to your menu right away

Categories give your blog structure, so visitors and search engines quickly find what they are looking for. In the overview you can see for each category how many posts it contains and whether the category is active.

  1. Drag to reorder: set the order by dragging categories. You will see the same order in the category menu above your posts
  2. URL for your menu: every category has its own URL with a Copy button. Paste it as a custom link in your menu module, and the category appears in your shop's main menu
  3. On and off: an inactive category disappears from the shop, but its posts remain visible on the blog page
3

Manage comments without spam

All comments from your visitors come together in one overview. If you enable Approve comments first, a comment only appears in your shop after you have approved it. In the menu you see a counter showing the number of comments waiting for approval.

  1. Approve, hide or delete: per comment, or several at once
  2. Email notification: receive a message for every new comment
  3. Spam protection: an invisible field for bots, a time check and a maximum of 3 comments per 10 minutes per IP address
  4. GDPR-proof: works together with the official GDPR module from PrestaShop for consent, export and deletion

You can enable or disable comments for the whole blog, or per post.

The overview is currently empty (“No records found”). If you post a few test comments and retake the screenshot, buyers will immediately see how approval and status work. A filled list sells better than an empty one.

All settings clearly organized on one page

Under Settings you fine-tune the blog to fit your shop perfectly. Everything is arranged in clear blocks.

  1. Blog pages: the title and meta description of your blog per language, the words in your URLs (blog, category, tag), the number of posts per page, date and author on or off, and how many other posts from the same category appear below a post
  2. Images: the width on the post page and in the overviews, and regenerating them with one click
  3. Blocks in your shop: the latest posts on the homepage and linked posts on the product page, each with its own number
  4. Comments: comments on or off, approve first, and an email notification to an address of your choice
  5. Search engines and feeds: BlogPosting data (schema.org) and the RSS feed on or off
  6. URLs of your blog: the blog, the RSS feed and the sitemap together, plus the URL for your main menu per language with a Copy button
  7. Product card: optionally replace the line about scheduling with “More posts from the same category below each post”
  8. Extended description, under “More sales from your content”: “Below each post you will find other posts from the same category, so visitors keep reading longer.”
5

Your latest posts on the homepage

The latest posts appear automatically on your shop's homepage. This way every visitor immediately sees that there is something new to read. Each card shows the category, the title, the date and the introduction, with a link to the full post. With All Blog Messages visitors go to the complete blog overview.

  1. Configurable: the block on or off, and the number of posts shown
  2. In your own branding: colors and fonts come from your theme
  3. Usable elsewhere too: with the widget you can place the same block anywhere in your theme, optionally for just one category
